Chapter 11: Why?!


He can't he can't be…I-I have to know…where's Sasuke!

Sakura slowly opened her eyes…but there was something bright, it hurt and quickly she closed them again. She can hear people whisper, breath, sigh, walk and move things around. where am I? she thought.  She attempted again slowly but very slowly opening her eyes. This time the brightness didn't hurt as much. Her vision was a little fuzzy, she focused on things but even if she tried they were still hard to see. She looked around with her eyes. White walls a big window to her left medical equipment to her right…, hospital? she thought. Then the door slowly opened.

"Sakura? Did I wake you up? Sorry if I did."

It was Ino dressed in a nurse's uniform. she must be working right now.  Ino smiled. Sakura very slowly tried to sit up but decided not to even try, when she felt her body throb in pain. what's wrong with me? she asked herself.

Ino suddenly looked depressed. Sakura was going to ask what's wrong but Ino spoke before she did.

"How are you feeling?" she asked. Sakura didn't know what to say…How is she supposed to feel!?Knowing that the person you love isn't by your side or worse not knowing where he is!

"o-okay…" she answered.

"Good…" Ino walked around her room, she first pressed a button on the bed that automatically lifted the top part of it, so it was easier for Sakura to see the room, and then she started checking her temperature and blood pressure. "It seems like your fine. Which is good but you still need a lot of rest though." She explained.

"Ino…where's Sasuke?" Sakura asked. She didn't look at Ino, she stared at the birds who passed by the big window by her bed.

Ino didn't answer right away.

Sakura asked again ", Ino please tell me what happened where's Sasuke!" she demanded. Sakura looked at her this time.

"Sakura you need to calm down…they're searching for him and Orochimaru. We believe that they left together and if that's the case-"

"-If that's the case Sasuke will be considered a rouge ninja again, well that's what I heard from the Hokage." Ino and Sakura turned to the door. It was Kakashi sensei.

"Yo," he waved. "Don't worry I believe Naruto knows something but we need him to wake up and tell us, but for now they're searching for him as a missing ninja." Kakashi clarified. Sakura sighed in relief. She was happy to hear that.

"I forgot! How's Naruto? And what about Hinata and the baby?!" she quickly asked.

"They're fine. Naruto's still unconscious but he should be waking up soon and Hinata's with him. And they're both fine." Ino responded.

"Well when can I leave the hospital…I need to go look for sasuke…I know he didn't just leave, there's a reason why he did it…" Sakura said.

Kakashi looked at Ino and frowned. "You haven't told her?"

"No "

"What?" Sakura asked confused. She knew it wasn't about Sasuke…

"But I will…now." Ino paused and turned to look at her. "Sakura…this is hard to say but you're not leaving this hospital soon."- Sakura was puzzled- "You have multiple fractures  in your lower body…the only way for you to heal completely is to take the same surgery that Lee had, like six years ago."

no..no…this can't be. Sakura started shaking her head in disagreement.

"But don't worry Lady Tsunade's not going to make you go through the dangerous surgery."

so what now? I'm crippled for life! she assumed, but didn't argue…Ino wasn't done explaining.

"She invented a tablet that you'll have to take for about a year…and it will take about a year to healcompletely. It's like the surgery she performed once but instead of regenerating the cells at a fast pace…it's going at a pace that won't be so dangerous to your life." She ended.

Sakura… didn't know what to do…the only thing running through her mind was that she can't help look for Sasuke…WHY!!!<?i> She cried.
